We organized this trip with the great support of the Beale family and the team of El Encuentro Fly Fishing. At this point many thanks to all at El Encuentro Fly Fishing - especially to Benjamin and Cecilia - for the arrangements they have done to make this trip become true (again - see trip report 2019).
What can you expect?
This fishing itinerary incorporates one central Base Camp and two additional lodges, giving you access to an incredible diversity of waters. You`ll have the opportunity to fish many different styles, including wading and Float-tube/Drift-boat fishing on both public and private waters.
Your adventure starts at El Encuentro’s quite outstanding Brook Trout Base Camp, beautifully situated on a remote part on the banks of the Rio Corcovado at the Province of Chubut.
The trip starts with a four nights stay at Brook Trout Base Camp. Staying here gives you access to some unbelievably remote fishing terrain whilst enjoying the comforts of a luxury camp. The Camp is strategically located to fish a great variety of rivers, creeks and lakes, including those which hold some of the biggest brook trout in the world and from where we can also fish the Rio Pico area, within an hour´s drive..
After four days at Brook Trout Base Camp your guide will drive you to the El Encuentro Lodge on the banks of the Rio Futaleufu. At El Encuentro´s home lodge you will have great access to a lot of fantastic public and private waters around. You will fish for wild a trophy trouts on rivers, spring creeks and lakes as well. You will explore the beauty of Patagonia daily.
For the 7 days excursion, guests will end their fishing adventure at the El Encuentro Lodge.
For those on the extended 10 days excursion, after spending three nights at El Encuentro Lodge, you and your guide will head east to Carrileufu River Lodge, located close to the Parque Nacional Los Alerces. This offers easy access to a enormous range of fishing waters (lakes and rivers). It is a very nice and very comfortable lodge and a wonderful place for a group of anglers to call their own.
Optional we will head to a Golden Dorado fishing destination. This depends on the wishes of the group. Maybe individual inquiries can be the result of the planing.
